Matilda Cicely Williams is an ethnographic illustrator who graduated from Falmouth University in 2017 with a Masters in Authorial Illustration.
Drawing on her anthropological background, she uses a mechanical and methodical process of observation and creation to devise images that offer insight into personal and external experiences.
Her first book, The Compendium, is a study and curation of objects collected by her father. Her illustrations describe the degeneration of these objects over time.
